Hi, I’m Teagan!

I’m a passionate educator/artist/designer currently working on her User Experience Certificate with Google.

I create authentic branding materials, websites, artworks, and lesson plans that are insightful & delightful.

When I’m not teaching, I’m painting with PAAC, the Plein Air Artists of Colorado. Networking and receiving feedback on my art is critical to growing as an artist.

Recently, I’ve begun showcasing my work at a local artists’ collective in Estes Park. Inspired Artisan Market & Studio is a unique combined gallery and maker space, and they have a hand-picked selection of esteemed artists all local to the Estes Park Valley and nearby in the Rocky Mountains.

I paint waves because I once believed I couldn’t, and mountains I never thought I could climb. Through paint, I work through conflicts within myself, and something about the movement of the water, the grandeur and guardianship of the mountains, washes the dust of yesteryear away from my soul.

BA in Classics & Studio Art

For almost 4 years, I worked with Park West Galleries as an International Art Dealer, hosting art auctions and selling millions in fine art on cruise ships and top-tier VIP events. The high-pressure work sharpened my skills and artistic acumen.

I sailed the roughest seas in the world, through many a storm and pirate-infested waters, traveling to more than 44 countries, from Australia to Asia, Russia to Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Alaska.

Learning "to sail in high winds" and continue drawing, painting, exploring, and improving myself has become a tenet of my life. I keep a fortune cookie on my refrigerator that says "You cannot discover new oceans unless you are willing to lose sight of the shore."

Some of my favorites were Scotland, Greenland, Iceland, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Bali, and the Maldives.

I’ve hiked through the rainforests of remote, uninhabited islands in the South Pacific, and walked through moving traffic in the streets of Vietnam.

I met my other half, Nick, on a ship in Hawaii, and we have since moved to Colorado to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, and the multitude of hiking, painting, and adventuring opportunities this state has to offer.

We explore, laugh, and eat our way through every new place we go.

We are fortunate to have a spare bedroom that I have made into my studio. With a bright, south-facing window, it gets the best of light all day long, no matter the season.

A lifelong explorer & creator, I’m constantly challenging myself with new ideas, and always celebrating happy accidents!

My favorite tools of the trade are oil paints, palette knives, a few good brushes, & healthy amounts of linseed oil.
