Hi, I’m Teagan!

About

While my overzealous grin (all 37 teeth of it) may startle small animals and unsuspecting students, it’s simply a side effect of my deep passion for art and design. I’m Teagan Trabulsy—artist, educator, and founder of Studio Teagan. I specialize in expressive oil paintings of waves and Western landscapes, using classical techniques like impasto, alla prima, and Flemish glazing to explore themes of resilience, chaos, and calm.

Alongside my fine art practice, I’m a passionate design thinker focused on creating authentic and meaningful branding for small businesses. Using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and UX principles from Google’s certification program, I create thoughtful logos and brand visuals that truly resonate.

I teach Art & Design to 6-12th grade students in northern Colorado and will begin my Master of Arts in Art & Design at the University of Northern Colorado this fall. I believe creativity can spark change—personally, socially, and environmentally. A portion of my proceeds supports conservation efforts tied to the natural beauty that inspires my work.

As a member of the Thompson Valley Art League and Plein Air Artists of Colorado, I regularly exhibit in regional shows and festivals. Whether I’m painting, designing, or teaching, my goal is simple: to create with purpose, passion, and impact.

For almost 4 years, I worked with Park West Galleries as a Gallery Director and Auctioneer, hosting art auctions and selling millions in fine art on cruise ships and VIP events. Meeting the artists and working with professionals at such a high level was inspiring and rewarding.

I sailed some of the roughest seas in the world, through many a storm and pirate-infested waters, traveling to more than 50 Caribbean, Hawaii, and Alaska.

I keep a fortune cookie on my refrigerator that says "You cannot discover new oceans unless you are willing to lose sight of the shore."

Some of my favorites were Australia, Scotland, Greenland, Iceland, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Bali, and the Maldives.

I’ve hiked through the rainforests of remote, uninhabited islands in the South Pacific, and walked through moving traffic in the streets of Vietnam.

I met my other half, Nick, while sailing on a ship in Hawaii, and we have since moved to Colorado to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, and the multitude of hiking, painting, and natural areas this state has to offer.

We explore, laugh, and eat our way through every new place we go!
